INGREDIENTS:-
▢8 soya chaap
▢1 cup fresh cream
▢1 teaspoon ginger paste
▢1 teaspoon garam masala powder
▢salt as required
▢5 tablespoon vegetable oil
▢1 large chopped onion
▢1 cup yoghurt (curd)
▢1 teaspoon coriander powder
▢1 teaspoon garlic paste
▢1/2 teaspoon black pepper
▢2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
▢water as required
▢1 teaspoon lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:-
Step 1: The chaaps should be soaked in water for 20-25 minutes.
Step 2: Then combine the curd, cream, coriander powder, ginger paste, garam masala, pepper, 1 tablespoon oil, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
Step 3: Place the marinated chaaps in the refrigerator
Step 4: Add the chaaps to the bowl and coat them well with the marinade.
Step 5: Cover the bowl and leave it in the refrigerator for an hour.
Step 6: Chaaps are fried in a pan
Step 7: Heat 3-4 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add the marinated chaaps, not the entire mixture.
Step 8: Pan-fry until golden in colour. Remove from flame and cut into pieces.
Step 9: In a pan, heat one tablespoon oil, saute the onions for a few minutes.
Step 10: Do not let the onions become soft. Add the pan-fried chaaps and the leftover marinade.
Step 11: The chaaps should be cooked for three to four minutes on low flame, adding salt according to taste.
Step 12: Remove from heat, mix well, and transfer to a bowl.
Step 13: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Notes:
For best results, serve the Malai Chaap with mint chutney and onion rings on the side.
